Cost of living in Kyrgyzstan reaches 8,700 soms

Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2025. /Kabar/. The average subsistence level in Kyrgyzstan for the third quarter of 2025 amounts 8,758.6 soms per capita, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistical Committee. The subsistence level has increased in all regions of the country. Within the subsistence minimum, food products account for 65%, non-food products for 16%, services for 17%, and taxes for 2%. The energy value of the food basket is 2,101 kilocalories per day, including 73 grams of protein and 71 grams of fat.

By socio-demographic group:

For the working-age population, the subsistence minimum was 9,818.4 soms, an 11.2% increase compared to the previous year;

For men — 10,063.6 soms (+11.5%),

for women — 9,766.7 soms (+11.6%);

for pensioners — 7,760 soms (+11%);

for children — 7,413.2 soms (+10.6%), including:

aged 0 to 7 — 6,572.1 soms (+10.4%),

aged 7 to 14 — 7,678.4 soms (+10.5%),

aged 14 to 17 — 8,471.2 soms (+11%).
