CSTO ministerial meeting held in Kazan

Bishkek, June 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev attended the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the state of the international and regional situation, as well as its impact on the security of the organization's member states.

The parties exchanged views on further steps in the development of the CSTO's external relations.

The Council of Foreign Ministers adopted statements on strengthening the role of international law and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter, preventing an arms race in outer space, marking the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as on the need to counter the threats of the use of information and communication technologies for subversive and terrorist purposes.

The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in Russia in November of this year, ahead of the next session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
