Bishkek, June 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Mamatkanov met with head of the UNICEF Representative office in Kyrgyzstan, Samman Jung Thapa.
During the meeting, Ulan Mamatkanov highly praised the work of the UNICEF Representative office in Kyrgyzstan in implementing projects and programs in social policy and protecting the rights and interests of children.
Deputy chairman noted that protecting children's rights is a national priority for Kyrgyzstan. He added that the country is successfully implementing state programs and strategies aimed at supporting families, preventing violence, developing social services, and inclusive education.
Ulan Mamatkanov emphasized that UNICEF is a reliable strategic partner for Kyrgyzstan, and that long-standing fruitful cooperation plays a vital role in promoting and protecting children's rights in the country.
The parties also discussed current challenges, such as the consequences of labor migration, ensuring accessibility of services for children with disabilities, and combating violence and child labor.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue actively supporting the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan's social service system to achieve sustainable results in protecting the rights and well-being of children. The Cabinet of Ministers once again confirmed its intention to provide comprehensive support to the activities of the UNICEF office in Kyrgyzstan.
