Bishkek, March 24, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 8.8% in the first two months of this year. Eurasian Development Bank's weekly macroeconomic review says.

"The economy was driven by acceleration in industrial output growth to 14.7%. This is due to an 11.1% increase in primary metal production and a 1.8-fold increase in metal ore mining. Domestic demand continues to underpin growth: wholesale and retail trade increased by 11.4%, and investment by 8.4%," the EDB notes.

According to expert forecasts, Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth is expected to reach 9.3% in 2026.
