Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. In the first month of this year, Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 9%, according to the Eurasian Development Bank's weekly macroeconomic review.
"As we expected, strong consumer demand underpinned growth. Domestic trade contributed 2.6 percentage points to GDP growth, while other services contributed 1.9 percentage points. Investment in fixed capital continued to grow at double-digit rates (+17.9%)," the analysts note in the report.
EDB predicts that Kyrgyzstan's economy will maintain high growth rates in 2026. According to preliminary estimates, GDP growth for the year will be 9.3%.
