Bishkek, Aug. 18, 2026 /Kabar/. The exhibition of ancient Chinese art, "Harmony creates beauty," is an important cultural event reflecting the depth of the historical and cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as the mutual respect and friendship between the two peoples, State Secretary Arslan Koichiev spoke at the opening ceremony.
According to him, ancient Chinese civilization occupies a special and crucial place in world history.
"The culture, philosophy, art, and aesthetic worldview of ancient Chinese civilization, formed over millennia, have become the common cultural heritage of humanity. The title of today's exhibition also has profound meaning. Harmony is a concept that signifies the interconnectedness of man and nature, society and culture, past and present. This value occupies a special place in the cultural worldviews of both the Kyrgyz and Chinese peoples.

This event between museums is a new manifestation of cultural cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China. The renowned Tianjin Museum of China, as far as I know, houses approximately 200,000 exhibits. The Inner Mongolia Museum and our History Museum are jointly organizing the exhibition that opened today. Of course, selecting the exhibits from 200,000 is quite a challenge. This exhibition includes 153 valuable exhibits from the collections of three museums: 115 from the Tianjin Museum, 30 from the Inner Mongolia Museum, and eight from the National History Museum," the Secretary of State said.
It was noted that the exhibits will allow visitors to gain a closer understanding of the history, culture, art, and aesthetic values of ancient China.
"The 'Harmony creates beauty' exhibition in Kyrgyzstan has another important feature: it is being organized as one of the key events at the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kyrgyzstan. The SCO is an important international platform aimed at strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between member states. Introducing the general public to cultural heritage through such events is an important way to deepen humanitarian ties between states," Koichiev noted.
The exhibition of ancient Chinese civilization art opened today at the National History Museum. It features exhibits from the National History Museum, the Tianjin Museum, and the Inner Mongolia Museum. Visitors can visit the exhibition from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The exhibition will run until November 15.
