FM Kulubaev visits Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul

Bishkek, March 9, 2026. /Kabar/. As part of his working visit to Turkiye, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev visited the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul on March 7.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kulubaev was accompanied by Ambassador to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev, Consul General in Istanbul Chyngyz Toktobekov, and Consulate General staff.

The minister reviewed the results of renovation and restoration work carried out at the Consulate General building and inspected the conditions created to provide high-quality services to Kyrgyz citizens.

During the visit, the minister also held a meeting with the Consulate General's staff at the building.

In his speech, Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that the Consulate's primary task is to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Kyrgyz citizens residing in Turkiye. He also emphasized that consular offices must also contribute to the country's economic development, actively work to strengthen ties with foreign partners, and facilitate investment in Kyrgyzstan.
