Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2025 /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev, together with the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Mashiev, planted saplings in Sverdlov district. According to Aibek Dzhunushaliev, the municipality is making every effort to increase the city's green space.
We are often criticized for cutting down trees, but these were dry and unsuitable trees. We are planting ten younger trees in their place. Our goal is to maintain the city's status as a green city, he noted. Green spaces have also appeared at the intersection of Chui Avenue and Kurmanzhan Datka street. The plantings are organized as part of Jashyl Muras project and the decisions of the EcoCouncil-2025, with a particular focus on school grounds.
It is noted that a total of 10,000 seedlings will be planted in Bishkek and work is continuing in other areas of the city.
