Infrastructure work at Kambarata-1 HPP completes by 50 percent

Bishkek, March 11, 2026. /Kabar/. The "Kambarata-1 HPP" project is being successfully implemented, Ministry of Energy reports.

According to information, as of today, approximately 90 percent of the road connecting the Bishkek-Osh highway with the construction of the station has been completed, and the excavation of a 126-meter-long transport tunnel has been completed. This will ensure the delivery of construction equipment.

Also, construction of a 110 kV power transmission line and substation to supply electricity to the construction site is ongoing.

Approximately 85 percent of the road from lane No. 2 to the HPP has been completed, the main concrete work on the bridge piers has been completed, and the installation of superstructures is underway. Overall, construction is approximately 40-50 percent complete.

In addition, approximately 60 percent of the 100-person shift camp for builders and engineers has been completed.

It is worth noting that this strategic "Century Project" will become the largest facility in Central Asia, ensuring the country's energy independence and economic stability with a capacity of 1,860 MW.
