Bishkek, Nov 3. 2025 /Kabar/. Board meeting of energy companies and institutions under the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek to discuss the results of the first nine months of 2025.
The meeting was attended by Taalaibek Ibraev, a representative of the Presidential Administration and Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, deputy ministers, and heads of energy companies, institutions, and their branches under the ministry's jurisdiction.
As part of the Rehabilitation of the Toktogul Hydroelectric Power Plant- Phase 3 project, installation work on hydroelectric unit No. 3 is 100% complete.
Pre-commissioning work is currently underway on the electrical portion of hydroelectric unit No. 3. As of October 30, 2025, the hydroelectric unit has successfully completed its first synchronization with the release of electricity into the Kyrgyz grid.
Over the next 14 days, work will be completed on the rehabilitation of hydroelectric unit No. 3 at the Toktogul hydroelectric power station, which will increase the capacity of hydroelectric unit No. 3 by another 60 MW, the department emphasized.
