The 2026 Namangan International Flower Festival has officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records, Kun.uz reported.
The milestone was achieved following an extensive planting campaign across the region. While preparations for last year's event saw 100 million flower seedlings planted, local organizers raised the bar this year by planting 150 million seedlings. This massive effort earned Namangan the world record in the category of "most flowers planted collectively within one month".
During the grand opening ceremony of the festival, Guinness World Records representative Sheyda Subashi officially presented the record certificate to the governor of the Namangan region.
The 65th Namangan International Flower Festival opened on May 24 and is scheduled to run until July 12. This year's duration continues a trend of expanding the event's timeline – the 62nd festival in 2023 lasted for one month, the 2024 edition ran for 40 days, and the 2025 event extended even further to 50 days.
