Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev held meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce with representatives of government agencies and entities in the garment industry.
During the meeting, current issues related to the entry of Kyrgyz products into the Russian Federation market were discussed. They noted the current crisis was caused by tightened controls by Russian authorized bodies. They also discussed measures to support domestic producers, both in the domestic market and through foreign economic activity.
Meeting participants emphasized the need to strengthen interdepartmental coordination, modernize infrastructure, expand training programs, and implement modern quality standards. Business representatives highlighted the barriers faced by companies in the industry and expressed their willingness to cooperate to eliminate them.
Following the discussion, Ministry of Economy and Commerce was instructed to develop a set of proposals aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the garment industry and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship.
Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov noted that his department will continue to systematically work with the business community to develop balanced and effective solutions aimed at the long-term development of the sector.
