Issyk-Kul to host Kyrgyz-Russian economic forum

Issyk-Kul, Aug 5, 2026 /Kabar/. The VIII Kyrgyz-Russian economic forum “Kyrgyzstan 2030: Partnership of the regions of Kyrgyz Republic and Russian Federation - an engine of growth” will be held in Issyk-Kul on August 5-7.

This event is the main platform aimed at developing trade, economic, investment and interregional cooperation between the two countries, expanding business ties, as well as promoting joint projects.

The forum will be attended by a delegation of the Russian Federation led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk. The Kyrgyz delegation will be led by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The event program includes plenary and sectoral sessions, an exhibition-fair of regions and businesses, as well as formats for the development of practical interaction.

The main areas of discussion will be:

  • Strategic partnership and priorities until 2030;
  • Industrial cooperation and new transport corridors;
  • Digital sovereignty, energy, financial architecture and partnership in education;
  • Support for women's entrepreneurship.

In addition, tomorrow, August 6, a specialized session of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) entitled "Economic integration in the EAEU: emphasis on internal potential" will be held. It will consider effective mechanisms for strengthening trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and implementing cooperation projects in the EAEU space.
