Jashyl Muras: Over 25,000 new trees planted in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 16, 2026. /Kabar/. As part of the national "Jashyl ​​Muras"(Green heritage) campaign, large-scale landscaping and forest restoration work has been carried out in specially protected natural areas. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, in 2025:

- State Nature Parks (SNPs) planted 16,450 forest seedlings on an area of ​​23.79 hectares;

- Tenants of SNPs planted 8,786 seedlings on an area of ​​15.3 hectares for landscaping purposes.

The total number of seedlings grown was 25,236, covering an area of ​​39.09 hectares.

Furthermore, according to the autumn 2025 inventory, 359,316 seedlings and saplings are being grown in nature park nurseries across an area of ​​7.1 hectares. 106,825 were deemed fully suitable for planting.

The agency notes that these measures are aimed at strengthening environmental safety, preserving biodiversity, and restoring Kyrgyzstan's natural ecosystems.
