Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Justice Ayaz Baetov met with Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hirano Ryuichi, ministry reports.
According to the information, the parties discussed the main areas of bilateral relations within the framework of the implementation of the cooperation program between the Ministries of Justice of Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
The program was signed during the state visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan.
The meeting noted the successful implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the Japanese Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan in 2025, including joint studies of legal systems.
It was also noted that the Japanese side supported the initiative of Kyrgyzstan to hold the first meeting of the Ministers of Justice of Central Asian countries and Japan, and considered it as a new dialogue platform for exchanging experience and strengthening legal cooperation in the region.
Minister of Justice expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Japan for his support for Kyrgyzstan's initiatives in the field of law and justice, as well as for his contribution to promoting the principles of the rule of law and developing the human resources potential of the justice system. The parties confirmed their readiness to continue the constructive dialogue between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries and strengthen partnership relations within the framework of the regional format "Central Asia + Japan".
