Bishkek, April 13, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev arrived in Washington, D.C., on a working visit. He faces a busy agenda at the annual Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.
The visit began with preparations for talks with World Bank senior management, including Anna Bjerde, Managing Director for Operations, and Antonella Bassani, Vice President for the Europe and Central Asia Region.
The parties will focus on the implementation of the current project portfolio in Kyrgyzstan and the advancement of the Kambarata-1 Hydro Power Plant (HPP) project, which is strategically important for all of Central Asia.
The political component of the visit will be an important block: bilateral consultations with representatives of the administration of US President Donald Trump are planned. During the meetings, prospects for strengthening interstate dialogue and economic partnership are expected to be discussed.
In parallel with the financial and political agenda, Adylbek Kasymaliev will pay special attention to the technological development of Kyrgyzstan. A series of meetings are planned with the top management of leading global corporations—Meta, Oracle, NVIDIA, and SpaceX. The main topics of discussion will include:
the digital transformation of public administration;
the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Kasymaliev’s working visit to Washington will last several days and will culminate in the signing of a number of documents aimed at developing Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with international institutions.
