Bishkek, April 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, including cooperation in trade, economics, finance, investment, civil aviation, sanctions, and visa facilitation.
Adylbek Kasymaliev conveyed greetings on behalf of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov. The Kyrgyz Cabinet head emphasized the importance of the C5+1 format, noting that the presidential meeting in this format last year provided a powerful impetus for regional cooperation. He expressed gratitude to Marco Rubio for his personal attention to this platform as a key tool for maintaining dialogue between Central Asia and the United States.
Kasymaliev briefed the US official on Kyrgyzstan's sustainable economic development. It was noted that the country's economy demonstrated stable growth of over 9% annually from 2022 to 2024, and by the end of 2025, this figure had reached a record 11.5%.
"We view the United States not only as a crucial partner, but also as a global leader in scientific and technological development. Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding partnerships in innovation, digital transformation, and the implementation of advanced technologies," said Adylbek Kasymaliev, adding that a number of meetings with leading US technology corporations were held during his visit.
