Bishkek, June 3, 2026 /Kabar/. Due to weak coordination, the country currently has both unemployed people and employers looking for employees. Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Ulan Mamatkanov told Kabar podcast as part of Open Cabinet media project.

According to him, work is currently underway to address this issue.

"We have people looking for workers, and at the same time, there are those looking for work. "If we look at migration, we have citizens leaving for migration, but at the same time, we are attracting labor from abroad. We have allocated 100,000 labor quotas for this year, 2026. We need to strengthen our outreach efforts," he said.

Mamatkanov also added that currently, approximately 700,000 Kyrgyz citizens are working abroad as labor migrants, and the majority of them are working in Russia.
