Kyrgyz citizens in Turkiye traveled hundreds of kilometers to vote

Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz citizens are actively participating in the elections in Turkiye, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev said.

According to him, a total of eight polling stations have been opened in Turkiye. "This is a first. Previously, Turkiye only opened three polling stations in three cities: Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya. According to the Migration Service, there are 33,000 Kyrgyz citizens in Turkiye. Including visiting Kyrgyz citizens, the total number is approximately 45,000.

They are all scattered throughout Turkiye, but despite this, some Kyrgyzstanis traveled 600-700 km to vote,” he said.
