On December 18, bilateral meeting was held in Urumqi, China, between Nurdan Oruntaev, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Public Utilities of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Li Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
According to the ministry, during the meeting, issues related to establishing and further strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic and the relevant department of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region were discussed in detail.
Opportunities for exchanging experience in seismic stability, quality control of construction work, and professional development for construction industry specialists were also discussed.
It was noted that Nurdan Oruntaev, along with the heads of approximately 30 Kyrgyz construction companies, arrived in Urumqi on December 17. The main goal of the working visit was to learn Urumqi's production potential in the construction materials sector and to establish partnerships with manufacturing companies in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
