Bishkek, July 10, 2026. /Kabar/. Three young designers will represent Kyrgyzstan in the international ethno-fashion competition, which will be held as part of the VI World Nomad Games. Nazira Begim, coordinator of Urban Nomad international ethno-fashion competition told Birinchi Radio.
According to her, the best designers from more than 10 countries participating in the World Nomad Games will participate in the competition.
"As part of the World Nomad Games, we will showcase fashion over four days. The qualifying round consisted of two or three stages, during which approximately 20 designers presented their work live. Three of the best were selected. Now these three designers will compete against the strongest designers from 10 countries. The main part of the program, known as the gala show, will include a unique exhibition of clothing from leading designers, followed by the competition itself. This is the first time in the history of Nomad Games that such a competition has been held in five or six categories, and fashion is one of them," she said.
Nazira Begim also expressed deep confidence that young domestic designers will be able to showcase their best work with dignity.
"Following the national selection in Kyrgyzstan, we identified the best designers: one became a crowd favorite, and two were chosen by the expert jury. I firmly believe that our young designers will deliver excellent results. "Today, young Kyrgyz fashion designers are demonstrating a uniqueness in Central Asia and throughout Asia as a whole. They are finding excellent technological solutions in sewing and design, successfully modernizing our traditional clothing culture," she noted.
