Bishkek, April 14, 2025. /Kabar/. Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almaz Imangaziev met with Russian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergei Vakunov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the meeting was organized in connection with the mass detentions of Kyrgyz citizens that took place on April 11, 2025, in the Bodrost bath complex in Moscow. The Kyrgyz side presented an official note with a request to provide information on the reasons for the operation by law enforcement agencies, as well as on the facts of the use of force against the detainees.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic demanded that, in case of establishing facts of unjustified use of force, appropriate measures be taken against the Moscow law enforcement officers involved in the incident. In addition, the Kyrgyz side expressed an urgent request to take effective measures to protect the rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and prevent similar situations in the future, which could damage the relations of alliance and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
