Bishkek, Jan. 12, 2026. /Kabar/. No one can touch the money received by the State Mortgage Company, President Sadyr Zhaparov during a meeting with residents after the ceremony of handing over apartments of “Muras” residential complex to their owners.

As the head of state noted, those who previously signed contracts would continue to pay their mortgages at the price indicated in the document in dollars per square meter of the apartment. Now, apartments in Muras will be given for $950.

“We are giving apartments in the central part of Bishkek and in prestigious areas for up to $1,400. Their square meter will be completed for up to $700. The $700 added to the price of apartments in the upper districts goes entirely to the State Mortgage Company. This money covers the cost of apartments for which only $50 is added. Since this is a state company, not a single som goes into anyone’s pocket. The company is not involved in construction, and I am categorically against this. Because as soon as construction begins, money would be stolen. If you buy material for 50 soms, it will be listed as 100 soms. If you buy cement for 500 soms, it will be listed as 1,000 soms. If this happens, the mortgage company will go bankrupt, there will be no future, and we will not be able to build housing for our future children. That is why we are giving apartments to construction companies for $700. Whether we give apartments for $900 or $1,000, the money in between will go to the State Mortgage Company. Nobody will do anything in this case", said Sadyr Zhaparov.
