Kyrgyz students bring 13 medals at international math Olympiad

Bishkek, June 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz students have won 13 medals at the international Olympiad in mathematics and computer science.

According to the education ministry, the IV International Al-Khorezmi Olympiad in Mathematics and Computer Science was held in Uzbekistan from June 1-7.

219 students from 16 countries took part in it: Malaysia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Bangladesh, Cuba, Venezuela, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Romania and Iran.

Kyrgyzstan represented by 12 students in mathematics and 12 in computer science.

"As a result, Kyrgyz students won 2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals," the report says.
