Bishkek, Sept.14, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea are expanding industrial and investment cooperation, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov participated in the first meeting of industry ministers in the Central Asia – Republic of Korea (C5+1) format.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were identified, including industrial cooperation and production localization, advanced processing of mineral raw materials, the development of industrial parks and industrial infrastructure, transport and logistics, and the creation of new production chains.
Bakyt Sydykov presented information on Kyrgyzstan's industrial, investment, and infrastructure potential, as well as the priority areas identified in the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.
This cooperation envisions the creation of a new production ecosystem integrating modern technologies, production, training, and the distribution of finished products to regional markets.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on industrial and supply chain cooperation was signed between the Republic of Korea and the five Central Asian countries.
