Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. A meeting between Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, and Mammetguly Astanagulov, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, was held in Ashgabat as part of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026.

The parties discussed Kyrgyz-Turkmen economic cooperation and the potential for expanding direct business contacts and implementing joint initiatives.

Energy, oil and gas supplies, the development of transport and logistics links, and investment were identified as promising areas.

Ravshanbek Sabirov noted the significant potential for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and emphasized the importance of direct dialogue between government agencies and businesses in the two countries.

Mammetguly Astanagulov expressed Turkmenistan's interest in further developing economic ties with Kyrgyzstan and expanding contacts between government officials and businesses.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their working dialogue and promote practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
