Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank will continue implementing joint development programs.
Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov met on Monday with World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Nadji Benhassine, the ministry reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current and prospective areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank.
Sydykov briefed his counterpart on the current economic situation in the country, noting that in recent years the Kyrgyz economy has demonstrated steady growth due to a comprehensive approach to the development of key economic sectors.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of ongoing projects financed by the international development partner, as well as to further steps aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation.
For his part, Benhassine expressed the World Bank’s readiness to continue cooperation with the Kyrgyz side, highlighting the positive dynamics of economic growth.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the continued implementation of previously reached agreements.
