Kyrgyzstan buys electricity from four countries

Bishkek, March 10, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan imports approximately 4 billion kWh of electricity annually, Ularbek Duisho uulu, department director of National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan (NEGK) told Kabar.

According to him, supplies are made from neighboring Kazakhstan, as well as from Russia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

"Currently, we do not export electricity," the NEGK representative emphasized.
