Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2025, /Kabar/. On November 10, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Asein Isaev met with the head of the Commonwealth of Independent States observer mission, CIS First Deputy Secretary General Igor Petrishenko.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the organization of observation of the early parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as prospects for further cooperation within the CIS.
First Deputy Minister Asein Isaev emphasized the importance of international election observation and noted that Kyrgyzstan has invited observers from international organizations, including the CIS mission, whose opinions and positions are authoritative and significant.
He also spoke about the work being carried out abroad to ensure the electoral rights of Kyrgyz citizens living or temporarily residing outside the country. A total of 100 polling stations will be opened abroad in 89 cities in 34 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the United States, and other countries.
In turn, CIS First Deputy Secretary General Igor Petrishenko noted with satisfaction Kyrgyzstan's achievements in organizing the electoral process, taking into account the use of new technologies and digital solutions to ensure the reliability and transparency of voter registration and counting.
It is noted that, in accordance with the Convention on Standards of Democratic Elections, Electoral Rights, and Freedoms in the CIS Member States, Igor Petrishenko informed the Kyrgyz side of the formation of mission of 150 observers who will work both in Kyrgyzstan and at polling stations located in other countries, in coordination with their Central Electoral Commissions.
Concluding the meeting, the parties noted that cooperation within the Commonwealth contributes to the further deepening of mutual understanding, the expansion of friendly ties between peoples, and the strengthening of harmony, unity, and good-neighborly relations in the region.
