Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Large fines have been imposed on those who illegally hunt wild animals in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision informs.
In order to prevent violations, the ministry's inspectors regularly conduct raids and surprise inspections. According to the law, the following fines are established for those who illegally shoot rare animals included in the country's Red Book:
For shooting leopards - 2 million soms;
For argali, red deer, brown bear and gazelle - 1 million 500 thousand soms;
For red wolf, manyl and lynx - 50 thousand soms.
The ministry reported that poacher was recently caught cooking the meat of an illegally shot deer in Suusamyr Valley, and his case is currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
