Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2026 /Kabar/. Special Presidential Representative for Mountain Regions Development Dinara Kemelova met with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili.
According to the presidential administration, the meeting addressed prospects for cooperation between the countries within the framework of the Five-Year Action Plan for Mountain Regions Development and the promotion of the mountain agenda globally, as well as the exchange of experience in sustainable mountain development.
Dinara Kemelova, noting that Georgia, like Kyrgyzstan, is a mountainous country, drew attention to the similarities in the problems and challenges faced by mountain residents related to climate change, natural disasters, and challenging geographic conditions. In this regard, she called on partners to actively cooperate at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed joint actions within the UN and the organization of the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25." Alexander Khvtisiashvili expressed his willingness to continue interaction on the mountain agenda and explore possible collaboration through relevant agencies.
