Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2026 /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultan Akhmatov met on Wednesday with Niklas Wagner, Commissioner for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia at the German Federal Foreign Office, and Monika Lenhard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The press service of the Economy Ministry reported that a substantive dialogue took place during the meeting, where the parties discussed promising areas of Kyrgyz-German economic cooperation, including trade development, investment attraction, youth training and education, and the promotion of a green economy.
Mutual interest in further expanding cooperation and implementing joint initiatives was noted. The meeting was held in a constructive and trusting atmosphere, and the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.
