Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev met with Dmitry Gershenson, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, at the Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed current economic trends, fiscal policy issues, and prospects for further development. IMF mission praised the country's macroeconomic situation, noting significant progress in fiscal policy and strengthening public debt sustainability.
Following the meeting, Kyrgyz finance minister expressed gratitude to the IMF representatives for the constructive dialogue and support for reforms aimed at strengthening macroeconomic stability and increasing the financial sustainability of the Kyrgyz Republic.
