According to the press service of the parliament, the meeting discussed the development of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries, and also touched upon the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations. Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu congratulated Birender Singh Yadav on the beginning of his diplomatic activity in Kyrgyzstan, adding that he was confident that as an experienced ambassador he would bring the relations of the two countries to a new level. Speaker also noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in cooperation with India in all areas. The leaders of the two countries have been meeting at international platforms and discussing issues of developing relations. Because we have a lot of opportunities to develop partnership. Among them, we need to increase trade turnover and deepen economic ties, he said. In addition, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu recalled that thousands of Indian students have been studying in Kyrgyzstan for many years, and cooperation in the fields of education and healthcare is also a priority.
In turn, Ambassador Birender Singh Yadav also spoke about the priority areas of his diplomatic activity in Kyrgyzstan, including his proposals for enhancing interparliamentary relations. More precisely, he touched upon the issues of organizing events in the Central Asia-India format by holding bilateral meetings. In addition, the ambassador said that India is interested in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in all areas, adding that the main goal is to increase trade relations.
