Kyrgyzstan, India to strengthen cultural and business cooperation

Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to India Askar Beshimov met with representatives of the Indian business and cultural community - Bijender Goel, founder of the Pythian Games organization, and Gaurav Gupta, president of the Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, they discuss issues of strengthening Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation, including interaction within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Special attention was also paid to the participation of the Indian delegation in the World Delphic Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan on March 24-27. Ambassador Beshimov discussed with Goel the organization and logistics of the event, as well as opportunities to promote India's rich cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Gupta informed about plans to organize a visit of a GTTCI business delegation to Kyrgyzstan at the end of February 2026, expressing his intention to establish partnerships and develop joint projects in the fields of IT, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism and green energy.

Ambassador noted his readiness to assist in organizing meetings with relevant structures.
