Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2026 /Kabar/. Urmat Asanbaev, Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, held a bilateral meeting with Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan.
According to the agency’s press service, the meeting took place today, October 21, in Bishkek, on the sidelines of a meeting of ministers responsible for youth and sports from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan in the field of sports, the implementation of joint sports initiatives, and the expansion of experience-sharing between the two countries.
Urmat Asanbaev also invited the Azerbaijani side to participate in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027, and expressed interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the sports sector.
