Bishkek, June 5, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev, as part of his working visit to St. Petersburg, participated in the official opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The Cabinet of Ministers reports.
During his speech, Daniyar Amangeldiev spoke about Kyrgyzstan's high rates of economic growth and noted that Kyrgyzstan's first full participation in the SPIEF is particularly significant, as the forum is today one of the world's largest business platforms and a space where new economic ties are formed, investment decisions are made, and regional projects are launched.
He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Russia are strategic partners and allies, and their relations are based not only on a shared history and close humanitarian ties, but also on a solid economic foundation.
Daniyar Amangeldiev highlighted the qualitative development of cooperation—the transition from primarily trade relations to joint ventures, industrial cooperation, and the implementation of major investment projects.
Regarding the factors behind economic growth, he pointed to the state's balanced economic policy: creating conditions for business, developing infrastructure, digitalization, and simplifying tax and customs administration.
According to him, these factors have increased business activity, expanded the domestic market, and brought a significant portion of the economy out of the shadow economy.
He particularly highlighted the role of Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union, which has given domestic producers access to a large market and significantly strengthened trade and economic ties with union member states.
Speaking about prospects, Daniyar Amangeldiev stated that the growth potential of Kyrgyzstan and other Eurasian countries is linked to deepening economic integration, the development of transport corridors, industrial cooperation, the digital economy, and joint technology projects.
