Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan agreed to deepen cooperation

Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2025 /Kabar/. Bilateral meeting was held between Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar, as part of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to Pakistan on December 3, 2025, Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, open and constructive exchange of views took place on wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. The parties reaffirmed their firm commitment to further strengthening political dialogue and developing comprehensive cooperation based on mutual respect and trust.

Kulubaev particularly emphasized the need to intensify trade, economic, transport, logistics, investment, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation. He noted that expanded interaction in these areas will contribute to deepening ties between entrepreneurs and business circles of the two countries, as well as significantly increasing bilateral trade volumes. The parties also discussed regional security issues, noting the importance of coordinating efforts to counter modern challenges and threats. Interest was expressed in intensifying interaction between relevant agencies and strengthening cooperation in this area.

Regarding multilateral cooperation, Kulubaev informed the Pakistani side of Kyrgyzstan's upcoming chairmanship of SCO in 2026 and expressed hope for Pakistan's active participation and assistance.

Following the talks, shared hope was expressed that Zhaparov's state visit would mark new milestone in further strengthening and expanding Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue consistent efforts to deepen comprehensive relations.
