Kyrgyzstan, Papua New Guinea establish diplomatic relations

Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2025. /Kabar/. On September 24, as part of the high-level week events of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Papua New Guinea Foreign Minister Justin Tkachenko.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the two sides signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations. The ministers discussed opportunities for developing bilateral ties, as well as international issues and cooperation in multilateral forums. At the end of the meeting, the ministers agreed to maintain regular contact to continue mutually beneficial dialogue.
