Bishkek, March 20, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibrayev is participating in the international forum Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, taking place in India.
According to the ministry, Ibrayev spoke at a ministerial panel session at the summit dedicated to the integration of renewable energy sources, energy system modernization, and the development of regional energy cooperation. In his speech, Taalaibek Ibrayev noted that the key challenge of the energy transition is ensuring energy system flexibility in the context of the growing share of renewable energy sources. He emphasized the importance of developing energy storage systems, modernizing grid infrastructure, and implementing modern balancing mechanisms.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of regional integration, which contributes to increased energy system resilience, reduced risks of power shortages, and efficient resource use.
Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 underscores the country's high level of engagement in the global energy agenda and is aimed at strengthening international cooperation, attracting investment, sharing advanced technologies, and promoting sustainable energy solutions.
