Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2025 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Ratification of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), signed on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) on September 24, 2025.
The law was adopted in order to fulfill domestic procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of OTS, signed on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek.
Agreement outlines the objectives, scope, and structure of the OTS Civil Protection Mechanism, the organization of cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergencies, ensuring preparedness and response to possible emergencies, as well as providing mutual assistance in mitigating the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.
