Bishkek, March 26, 2025. /Kabar /. On March 25, a meeting was held in Paris between Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Meder Abakirov and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the French Republic Bertrand Bushwalter.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-French cooperation, paying special attention to issues of bilateral political dialogue, trade and economic ties, interaction in the international arena, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Abakirov emphasized the importance of further developing political contacts and organizing the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Kyrgyzstan.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic ties, in particular, the implementation of joint projects in strategic sectors such as tourism, energy and aviation. The Kyrgyz side expressed its readiness to create favorable conditions for French investment and proposed holding a Kyrgyz-French business forum in Bishkek.
Cultural and educational cooperation traditionally occupies an important place in bilateral relations. In this regard, Kyrgyzstan's successful initiatives in France, including the Second World Film Festival in Paris, were noted. The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude to France for supporting cultural initiatives and expressed its readiness to further expand cooperation in this area.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their desire to deepen the Kyrgyz-French partnership and outlined further steps to develop bilateral relations.
