Kyrgyzstan, Russia strengthen co-op in sanitary and epidemiological security

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Russia and Kyrgyzstan are actively working to prevent and combat infections in a common epidemiological space, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk at the 26th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Humanitarian Cooperation in Bishkek.

According to him, high-altitude plague foci in the Kyrgyz Republic are regularly jointly surveyed, and services from both countries are working to prevent the spread of various diseases.

"We expect to soon sign a government agreement on cooperation in the area of ​​sanitary and epidemiological well-being," Overchuk noted.
