Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia to strengthen trade cooperation

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov met with the head of the Saudi Arabian government agency, Suhail bin Muhammad Abanmi, on issues of zakat, taxes, and customs.

According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Ministry, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia in the areas of customs and taxation.

The ambassador noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and called for stronger cooperation in trade, economic, and customs matters, including reciprocal visits and the creation of a legal framework.

In turn, Suhail bin Muhammad Abanmi agreed and expressed his readiness to provide assistance through his ministry.

Following the meeting, Ulukbek Maripov conveyed to Suhail bin Muhammad Abanmi an invitation from Almaz Saliev, Chairman of the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, to visit Kyrgyzstan.
