Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Kanatbek Eshatov, President of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan, commented on the situation with gasoline and diesel fuel supplies to Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, shipments of fuel and lubricants from non-CIS countries have begun to arrive in the republic, and there is hope that, in cooperation with partners, stabilization will be achieved within two months.
"The situation on the fuel market remains challenging. For obvious reasons, there are currently virtually no offers from Russian refineries. Currently, petroleum product deliveries to Kyrgyzstan come from far-abroad countries, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and even one European country, these are the destinations from which we already receive fuel and lubricants. As for China and Kazakhstan, negotiations with them are ongoing.
Prices are creeping upward on global markets, which naturally impacts as well. It will be extremely difficult to artificially curb such fluctuations for a long time.
As for the outlook, August and September are unlikely to bring significant improvements. However, by October, Russian exporters plan to increase refining capacity, saturate the market with fuel, and resume deliveries to the EAEU," said Kanatbek Eshatov.
