Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Tursunkulov held a series of meetings with leaders of Caribbean countries and heads of foreign policy departments.
According to the department, the meeting took place on February 26-27 within the framework of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM states.
At a meeting with the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Terrence Drew, Tursunkulov congratulated the country on behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov on assuming the chairmanship of CARICOM and holding the 50th anniversary meeting in Basseterre.
He discussed the opportunities for further development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Caribbean countries, and provided information about the upcoming major events - the SCO summit and the World Nomad Games. The parties confirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
The leader of Saint Kitts and Nevis noted the importance of promoting dialogue between CARICOM countries and Central Asian countries.
K. Tursunkulov also discussed in detail with the Foreign Ministers of Grenada and Saint Lucia the issues of expanding cooperation in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres between the countries, as well as strengthening the contractual and legal framework.
