Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2025 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, over 11,000 protective orders for domestic violence have been issued in the first eight months of this year, almost 2,000 more than the previous year, Daniar Saparbaev, head of the Public Security Service, told reporters at Kabar News Agency.
"We are conducting various activities to prevent domestic violence, raising awareness and educating people. If the perpetrator is not punished in a timely manner, the violence will recur. Therefore, we are actively working on the ground. "There are currently 16 crisis centers operating in Kyrgyzstan, with which we also work closely," Saparbaev said.
He also added that situation centers operate in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, staffed 24/7 by "102" operators. They are connected to CCTV cameras installed in the regions, allowing law enforcement to respond quickly and solve crimes.
"With their help, we try to prevent criminals from escaping and solve crimes promptly," he noted.
