Bishkek, Dec. 25, 2025. /Kabar/. Speaking at the 4th People's Kurultai, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov stated that the safety of women and children is a pressing issue for the state and society.
The head of state noted the increasing incidence of violence in the country creates a negative image of society and undermines fundamental values.
"Society that attacks the weak can never become civilized. We must not allow this to happen. The state will take strict measures. No criminal who attacks a woman or child will escape punishment, this is the state's principled position," the president emphasized.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the National Development Program until 2030 includes measures to eliminate violence against women and children. However, he added that legal measures alone are insufficient; social culture must be changed.
"No tradition, no way of life, and no circumstances justify violence." "Every father should raise his son to respect women, and every mother should teach her daughter to defend her honor and resist violence. Only in this way can we build a state where women are respected and children are safe," the president declared.
