Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2026. /Kabar/. A trade house for Kyrgyzstan is set to open in the Pakistani city of Lahore, with the goal of promoting products from Kyrgyzstani entrepreneurs and finding buyers for them. Plans are also in place to open a Pakistani trade house in Bishkek. Meher Kashif Younis, honorary consul of Kyrgyzstan in Lahore speaks during the "Kyrgyzstan Expo 2026" and "Expo Eurasia Kyrgyzstan 2026" international exhibitions.
According to him, these trade houses will foster mutual cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries, facilitate product sales, and expand business ties. Furthermore, support will be provided for initiatives by Kyrgyz and Pakistani entrepreneurs aimed at establishing joint ventures, setting up production facilities in Kyrgyzstan, and collaborating across various industrial sectors.
Meher Kashif Younis noted that he is an entrepreneur himself, active in several fields. His business group operates in sectors including metal manufacturing, fashion design, agriculture, healthcare, and engineering. He also owns an operation for the production of milk and dairy products.
"Pakistan could assist in the establishment of pharmaceutical companies in Kyrgyzstan, as there is a need for such production in the country. In turn, Kyrgyzstan can share its expertise in the field of digitalization. We have many areas of common interest, and entrepreneurs from both nations can support one another and work together," he said.
According to the consul, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan will enable entrepreneurs from both countries to access new markets. Through Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan could gain access to markets in Central Asia and Eurasia, while Kyrgyzstani entrepreneurs could reach markets in the Middle East, the Far East, and South Asia.
He also noted that during the visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Pakistan last year, a goal was set to increase trade turnover between the two countries to $200 million.
"Our objective is to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two nations, expand cooperation among entrepreneurs, and contribute to the development of both Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan through joint efforts," added Meher Kashif Younis.
