Bishkek, June 3, 2026 /Kabar/. This year, Kyrgyzstan plans to publish 7 million school textbooks, of which approximately 3 million have already been produced. Bakytbek Sultanov, General Director of Uchkun publishing house reports.

According to him, 3.5 million textbooks were published last year.
"Last year, the company began printing textbooks for first grade and has already expanded to sixth grade. The total print run of textbooks for parts one and two is 172,000 copies, which is sufficient for both private and public schools," Sultanov said.
He noted that this year, the company plans to provide textbooks for students up to ninth grade, after which the work will continue.
The printing house uses German equipment, enabling it to produce approximately 40,000 copies daily, enabling it to meet production plans on time.
He emphasized that old textbooks are no longer being printed; only new series is being released as part of the transition to 12-year education.
